Our Values
We Value Biblical Authority (II Timothy 3:16-17, Mark 7:7-9)
We believe that God speaks with power through His complete inspired, inerrant Word with absolute authority. We value therefore consistent, personal Bible study; the practical, intentional application of it to transform lives; and the accurate, relevant communication of the truth publicly. We affirm the Bible is foundational, all sufficient, and final; and therefore will always take precedence over church traditions or trends, and human opinions or desires.
We Value Evangelism (John 4, Matt. 28:19-20)
We are committed to communicating the gospel of Jesus Christ. It is central to all ministries of the church. We also believe in personal evangelism, and in sending and supporting missionaries to take the gospel to the rest of the world for the purpose of making disciples of Jesus Christ.
We Value Spiritual Community (Acts 2:42-27)
We are committed to full participation in the fellowship of believers in our local church. We will foster an atmosphere of love, holiness, and forgiveness by encouraging friendliness, faithful attendance at corporate gatherings and small accountability groups, praying for each other’s burdens, and caring for specific needs in our church and neighborhood. We strive for the unity of the Spirit and for growth in Christ-likeness.
We Value Worship (John 4:23-24)
We believe that we were created and blessed by God so that we might worship Him in Spirit and in truth. Therefore we encourage wholehearted worship that honors Him with sincerity and excellence. We endeavor to be doctrinally sound, appropriate, and progressive, maintaining balance without extremes.
We Value Prayer (Mark 11:17, Acts 14:23, I Timothy 2:1-3, 8)
We practice consistent, fervent prayer that recognizes and reflects our full dependence on God. We rely on private, family, and corporate prayer to guide the conception, planning, and execution of God’s will in every aspect of life and church ministry.
We Value Stewardship (1 Corinthians 4:2)
We are cheerful and generous givers of tithes and offerings. Additionally, we sacrifice time, abilities and resources to Jesus Christ and His church, deeming the eternal to be of more value and importance than the temporal, believing that all we have comes from God and that we are accountable to Him for its management and use. We are sensitive to the material concerns of those in need both inside and outside our church family. We are also committed to serving one another by cultivating and using our spiritual gifts (1 Corinthians 12).
