Sr. Pastor
Pastor De Graaff began his ministry at Bethesda in August, 2009. He and his wife, Karen, have been married for 35 years, and have four adult children; Jennifer, James, Jason, and Julie.
He began his ministry as a Youth Pastor in 1974 at Ankeny Baptist Church in Ankeny, Iowa. From there he was called in 1976 as Sr. Pastor at Silverdale Baptist Church in Silverdale Washington. In 2003, God called him to serve as Sr. Pastor at Calvary Baptist Church in Covington, Kentucky, and in 2008, he was called to First Federated Church in Des Moines, Iowa, as Teaching Pastor and Pastor of Young Adult Ministries, and eventually served as the Pastor of Congregational Care.

Tony Maynard

Pastoral Care
Tony was reached for Christ by the outreach of the church. His neighbor invited him to church and he accepted Christ soon thereafter. He participated in outreach and eventually joined the staff in 1971. Tony now serves part time. He and his wife Barbara have 4 children, 11 grandchildren, and 3 great grandchildren.

John Mlagan

Student & Children's Ministries
Pastor John Mlagan grew up in Brownsburg and is a graduate of Bethesda Christian Schools. He spent several years working as a volunteer youth leader at Bethesda before entering full-time ministry in 2001. John and his wife Jody have 6 children, including two sets of twins. Pastor John’s desire is to see students make pursuing Jesus the passion of their lives. He enjoys playing backyard ball with his kids, watching football, and hanging out with students.

Bryan Waggoner

Executive Pastor
Pastor Bryan is originally from Brownsburg, having graduated from Brownsburg High School. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior at the age of 5 in Danville, IN. Bryan grew up here at Bethesda and after high school attended Cedarville University. In 1983 Bryan and his wife Sheri returned to Bethesda Baptist where he served as Pastor of Student Ministries, until 2006. Bryan’s desire is to train believers to share the gospel and to make disciples. His interests are computers, being creative and hanging out with their 4 children (Jess, J.B., Caleb, and Korinna) and their son-in-law Mike.
