Minds In Motion

Recent research shows that strategic movement builds new neurological pathways in the brain that allow for a greater capacity for learning. At Bethesda, we involve our preschool and elementary grade students in the Minds in Motion maze each day. The Minds in Motion maze helps to stimulate brain systems which integrate sensory processing and motor development. This processing and motor development help improve the students performance as they enter the classroom. In order for the students to experience maximum success, the whole nervous system including all of its sensory systems must function efficiently if a child is to effectively process what is on the written page or in his or her environment.
